After all the excitement of Mutterz going mobile - and yes, I do have some mobile subscribers, I have to confess to being quite childlike in my glee about that, but it is back to the daily slog of life as an online marketer. If anyone tells you this is a glamorous job, please do take it with a large pinch of salt. It can be fun, it can be exciting, there are highs and lows - but mostly it’s work, good old fashioned hard work. I also have to confess that I enjoy that too, it is very satisfying to see the fruits of one’s labours appearing as if by magic on the screen in front of you.
It’s now coming up to the end of week three of the 90 Day challenge for me so a quick progress report is on order. I am starting to think about what will be the topics of my next four sites which are due to be set up in a week or so. Research is always ongoing in my world, it just has a tad more urgency about it at the moment. No decisions as yet.
In terms of where I am in keeping up with the work, that does concern me a bit, I am almost there but it has been a struggle - mainly because of outside pressures such as client work and the creation of Easter Made Easy for my group. I still have a little to do in the background for that but it is over to the rest of the guys to do their bit now in terms of promotion and linking etc. What concerns me is the extra work that is going to come in with the next four sites. I do wonder how people with less experience will be getting on - I can deal with the background stuff like setting up the site and so on fairly quickly but for Newbies I suspect it is a deal more traumatic. Time for a week of concentrated effort on my part to clear as much client work as possible and get prepared I think.
The sites so far are doing quite well - much to my delight both ‘Horse Facts and Equestrian Sports‘ and ‘Golf Techniques and Tournament Tips‘ have generated income both from Adsense and sales, not a great deal as yet but it is a start. The other two are moving on ‘The Garden Magazine‘ and ‘Healthy Eating Guide‘ have been a little neglected whilst I kept the other two up to date, particularly as I have set myself the target of doing the equestrian blog exactly to plan. All of them have subscribers - not many but some so I am pleased about that too. I shall set up a mobile feed for the Recipe site next week too and see how that goes.
I have been writing furiously in all the various personas that produce the blogs and have a number of articles out ‘on the wires’ as it were this week so it will be interesting to see how the traffic develops. Generally traffic is not high as yet, but what there is seems to be hanging around if the stats are to be believed.
All in all I’m please with progress so far, it will be interesting to see how the next week or so develops as the background work starts to take effect.
